Twin Oaks Farms is a family owned and operated seedstock operation. We originated in the small East Tennessee town of Friendsville, just southwest of Knoxville Tennessee. While we still operate at that location, our headquarters are now located in Greeneville Tennessee. Greeneville is known as the home of our 17th U. S. President, Andrew Johnson as well as the birthplace of Davy Crockett. The Andrew Johnson National Historic Site and National Cemetery is a favorite tourist stop. Greeneville is also known for a rich agricultural heritage in Tobacco, Dairy and Beef, and is one of the larger agricultural counties in Tennessee. Our operation has deep roots in the Angus business and the farm is multi generational. We trace our roots all the way back to Scotland and Ireland where our ancestors were involved in the production of the increasingly popular "Angus Doddies" of the times. Our intent is and has always been to produce cattle that can effectively harvest forages and produce a quality protein source for the least amount of inputs possible. While many generations of the family have put an indelible mark on what we feel is most important, we must never forget the importance of the youth that are interested in our business. We are proud sponsors of the Tennessee 4-H programs and Tennessee FFA and actively work with both organizations to support the projects and activities of our future leaders. We would like to encourage each of you to do the same at your local or state level. State and land grant universities are valuable assets to any production program and supply invaluable information for producers of all types and sizes.
